چکیده

Background: Stroke in childhood presents a serious rehabilitation challenge since it leads to physical, cognitive and psychosocial disability. The objective of our study was describe the effectiveness robot-mediated therapy (RMT) with Gloreha Sinfonia addition conventional treatment recovery sensory-motor capabilities paretic hand quality life ten-year-old child after stroke. Methods: girl enrolled undergo 10 sessions RMT Sinfonia. She evaluated functional scales upper limb kinematic analysis at pre-treatment (T0) end (T1). Outcome measures were Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Upper Extremity (FMA-UE), Visual Analogic Scale (VAS) Activities Participation Daily Life (ADL). In addition, Force Assessment System based on Virtual Reality games used assess force control modulation capability T0 T1. Results: At treatment, patient improved for greater involvement some activity daily living. significantly increased treatment. Conclusions: This clinical case highlights possible positive effects combined (conventional plus robotic) pediatric stroke outcomes from both sensorimotor point view, also improving motivational affective aspects family members. Further studies are needed validate these results identify most appropriate modalities doses.
